Participant page

Our participant page is designed for anyone wanting to engage further with the sermons we preach on Sunday. Our current series is What’s in a Name? Where we will look at four names of God that reveal four distinct aspects of His nature towards us. You could even consider these personality traits of God. We will look at Jehovah-Shalom, Jehovah-Nissi, Jehovah-Jireh, and Jehovah-Rapha.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS TO GROW IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

1 information

Truth we receive from the Scripture’s, wise teaching and preaching, and the Holy Spirit. This information has life giving and transformational qualities to it. Information is the first step in discipleship. It is receiving truth into our mind.

2 PRACTICE

This is where we begin to practice the truth we’ve received. The Scripture’s are full of truth that we can memorize and learn about. However, it is when we apply these truth’s we’ve received that transformation begins to take place. In our current series you’ll discover names of God. You’ll receive the information. The best thing to do is to begin practicing living in God’s love for you and how His nature is true and trustworthy despite what the culture or well intentioned people tell you. Jehovah-Shalom means the LORD is peace. We receive that information. Through practice we experience His peace. We practice it day by day. And, over time we begin to walk in a greater sense of God’s peace and wholeness in our lives. There is no substitute nor shortcut for personal practicing in discipleship.

3 REFLECTION

This is where we slowly reflect on what we are receiving and practicing in our discipleship journey. Reflection is a crucial piece of discipleship. You have permission and responsibility to slow down, become aware of God’s Presence, and think about your day: conversations, key decisions, moments that made you angry or anxious, as well as the great times you had. In this reflection time you can see where you experienced the peace of God and where you traded it in for something else. It’s all part of a patient, glorious process towards Christlikeness.
